The week's top-performing investment vehicle has been announced: Gram gold takes the lead

The winner of the week in the markets was gram gold, which rose by 4.91 percent. Increases were also observed in the BIST 100, foreign exchange rates, and funds.

While the weekly outlook in the markets remained positive, the vehicle that provided the highest return to investors was gram gold. Stocks traded on Borsa İstanbul gained an average of 2.42 percent on a weekly basis, while the increase in the gram price of gold reached 4.91 percent.

The BIST 100 index saw a low of 14,043.78 points and a high of 14,601.01 points during the week. The index closed the week at 14,514.82 points, an increase of 2.42 percent compared to the previous close.

The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar rose by 4.91 percent to 7,089 liras. The selling price of the Republic gold coin also increased by 4.93 percent, reaching 46,262 liras. Quarter gold closed the week at 11,614 liras, up 4.92 percent.

Limited increases were also observed on the foreign exchange side. The US dollar rose by 0.38 percent to 48.0640 liras, while the euro gained 1.25 percent to reach 56.1800 liras.

In the fund market, investment funds gained 0.85 percent and pension funds gained 1.53 percent on a weekly basis. Among investment fund categories, the highest return was seen in precious metals funds at 2.58 percent.
