The week's top-gaining and top-losing investment instruments have been announced

While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul decreased by an average of 1.24 percent on a weekly basis, the dollar/TL rose by 0.12 percent, the euro/TL by 0.40 percent, and the gram price of gold by 1.99 percent.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,696.01 and a high of 10,108.15 points, completed the week at 9,777.46 points, losing 1.24 percent in value compared to the previous week's close.

The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 1.99 percent this week to 2,923 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 4.85 percent to 20,052 liras.

The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,800 liras last weekend, increased by 4.77 percent to 5,029 liras.

This week, the US dollar gained 0.12 percent in value to reach 34.1570 liras, and the euro rose by 0.40 percent to 38.2210 liras.

Investment funds gained 0.24 percent and pension funds gained 0.33 percent in value this week.

When viewed by category, the top-gaining investment funds were "precious metals" funds with 3.72 percent.
