The week's top-performing investment vehicle has been announced
While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 2.56 percent and the euro/TL rate fell by 0.28 percent on a weekly basis, the gram price of gold increased by 0.17 percent and the dollar/TL rate rose by 0.09 percent.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 8,836.95 and a high of 9,195.49 points, finished the week at 8,876.22 points, losing 2.56 percent in value compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded at the Grand Bazaar increased by 0.17 percent this week to 2,924 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 0.08 percent to 20,010 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 5,017 liras last weekend, increased by 0.06 percent to 5,020 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 0.09 percent in value to reach 34.2830 liras, while the euro fell by 0.28 percent to 37.5140 liras.
Investment funds gained 0.42 percent and pension funds gained 0.57 percent this week.
When viewed by category, the top-performing investment funds were "money market" funds with a gain of 0.93 percent.
