The week's top-performing investment vehicle has been announced

Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul rose by an average of 0.68 percent on a weekly basis, while the gram price of gold increased by 1.21 percent, the euro/TL by 0.60 percent, and the dollar/TL by 0.45 percent.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,659.51 points and a high of 9,989.36 points, completed the week at 9,977.94 points, up 0.68 percent from the previous week's close.

The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 1.21 percent this week to 3,097 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 1.20 percent to 21,000 liras.

The selling price of quarter gold, which was 5,126 liras last weekend, rose by 1.19 percent to 5,187 liras.

This week, the US dollar gained 0.45 percent in value to reach 35.5700 liras, while the euro increased by 0.60 percent to 36.5500 liras.

Investment funds lost 0.03 percent in value this week, while pension funds gained 0.14 percent.

When viewed by category, the top performers among investment funds were "precious metal" funds with a 1.68 percent gain.
