The week's top-performing investment vehicles revealed: Stock market takes off, dollar retreats

Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul saw an average weekly increase of 9.26 percent. While gram gold rose and the dollar declined, the euro gained value, albeit slightly.

The BIST 100 index saw a weekly low of 9,450.80 points and a high of 10,379.27 points. It closed the week at 10,275.75 points, marking a 9.26 percent increase compared to the previous week.

In the Grand Bazaar, the gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold rose by 1.62 percent to reach 4,267 liras. Republic gold also gained 1.31 percent in value, trading at 28,754 liras.

Quarter gold, which was 7,033 liras at the end of last week, rose by 1.32 percent this week to 7,126 liras.

The US dollar lost 0.13 percent of its value this week, falling to 39.8360 liras, while the euro rose by 0.35 percent to 46.9920 liras.

Investment funds also followed a positive trend. This week, investment funds gained an average of 2.95 percent, while pension funds gained 4.29 percent. Among fund types, "stock" funds were the top performers with an 8.32 percent gain.
