Threefold demand for Treasury's eurobond issuance

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has secured $3 billion in borrowing through a 10-year dollar-denominated eurobond issuance. The Treasury announced that it received more than three times the demand for the $3 billion eurobond issuance.

Within the framework of the 2024 external financing program, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance authorized BBVA, Citi, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley on February 8, 2024, for a dollar-denominated bond issuance maturing in 2034. The Treasury has secured $3 billion in borrowing through the 10-year dollar-denominated eurobond issuance.

According to the statement made by the Treasury, the issuance was concluded on the same day, the issuance amount will enter the accounts on February 15, 2024, and the coupon rate for the bond maturing on May 15, 2034, was realized at 7.625 percent, with a yield rate of 7.875 percent.

Approximately 300 investors showed demand for more than 3 times the issuance amount.

42 PERCENT TO THE UNITED KINGDOM

42 percent of the bonds were sold to investors in the United Kingdom and Ireland, 27 percent to the USA, 20 percent to the Middle East, 6 percent to other European countries, 4 percent to Turkey, and 1 percent to investors in other countries.
