Mother's Day, celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May, will create significant activity for tradesmen this year as well. Bendevi Palandöken, President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK), stated that this special day is one of the busiest and most profitable periods for tradesmen.
While emphasizing that Mother's Day is a sign of love and respect for mothers, Palandöken also expressed that this day offers an economic opportunity for tradesmen. Stating that activity has begun in 415 different professional fields, Palandöken said they expect shopping intensity to be higher this year compared to previous years.
Palandöken said, 'We expect a turnover of 80 to 100 billion liras on Mother's Day this year. This turnover will be distributed among different sectors and will increase the use of transportation vehicles such as public transport and taxis. This activity will make a significant contribution to the economy,' he said.
Stating that Mother's Day should not be limited to just one day, Palandöken expressed that love and respect should be spread to every moment of life. 'The compassion and love our mothers offer us are the most valuable feelings that stay with us throughout our lives. This special day will both increase the exchange of love and revitalize the businesses of tradesmen,' he said.
Palandöken celebrated everyone's Mother's Day and wished for this day to be the beginning of many more beautiful days to be spent together in health and for a long time.
