Treasury borrows 32 billion TL!

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance continued its borrowing program in January with two bonds. The Ministry conducted the initial issuance of a 4-year TLREF-indexed government bond with quarterly coupon payments, and the re-issuance of a 6-year floating-rate government bond with semi-annual coupon payments.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance continued its January borrowing program with two bonds.

In the Treasury's 6-year floating-rate bond auction, net sales amounted to 6.06 billion TL, while the periodic interest rate was recorded at 20.55 percent.

In the 4-year bond auction, net sales reached 5.86 billion TL. The periodic interest rate in this auction was 10.72 percent.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed a total of 20 billion lira from market makers and the public prior to the initial issuance of the 4-year Turkish Lira Overnight Reference Interest Rate (TLREF)-indexed government bond with quarterly coupon payments, and the re-issuance of the 6-year floating-rate government bond with semi-annual coupon payments.

NO SALES TO THE PUBLIC

Before the issuance of the 4-year TLREF-indexed bond, 19.5 billion lira in bids were received from market makers, and 10 billion lira in sales were made. No sales were made to the public for this bond.

Before the issuance of the 6-year floating-rate bond, 16.3 billion lira in bids were received from market makers, and 8 billion lira in sales were made. For this bond, 2 billion lira in sales were made to the public.
