TÜİK announced! Amount of cow's milk collected increased by 12.8 percent

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the milk and dairy product production data for November 2023. The amount of cow's milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises increased by 12.8 percent in November compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 810 thousand 220 tons. In the January-November period, it showed an increase of 4.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In November, compared to the same month of the previous year, cow cheese production increased by 13.5 percent, while ayran production increased by 18.1 percent, yogurt production by 12.0 percent, and drinking milk production by 13 percent. However, butter production decreased by 1.2 percent. In the January-November period, cow cheese production increased by 9.8 percent, while ayran production increased by 8.1 percent and yogurt production by 4.4 percent. Drinking milk production increased by 0.8 percent, while butter production decreased by 10.3 percent.

The amount of cow's milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises, which was 819 thousand 386 tons in the previous month, decreased by 1.1 percent in November to 810 thousand 220 tons. Drinking milk production increased by 2.1 percent compared to the previous month, reaching 139 thousand 149 tons.
