TÜİK announces Agricultural PPI data: 2.70 percent increase in February

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agricultural-PPI) data for February 2025. According to the released data, while price increases continue in the agricultural sector, notable rises were observed particularly in citrus and tropical fruits.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agricultural-PPI) data for February. Accordingly, in February 2025, the Agricultural-PPI increased by 2.70 percent compared to the previous month, by 5.52 percent compared to December 2024, by 29.89 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 42.60 percent based on twelve-month averages.

By sector, compared to the previous month, an increase of 2.49 percent was recorded in agriculture and hunting products and related services, 6.80 percent in forestry products and related services, and 5.20 percent in fishing and aquaculture products and fishing support services.

In the main groups, annual (non-perennial) crops increased by 0.61 percent, while a decrease of 1.79 percent was observed in perennial crops. Live animals and animal products saw an increase of 5.93 percent.

On an annual basis, the highest change occurred in citrus fruits with an increase of 166.37 percent, while on a monthly basis, the highest increase was observed in tropical and subtropical fruits at 13.95 percent.
