TÜİK announces: Industrial production increased annually

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the industrial production index for January. According to the report, there was a 1.1 percent annual increase in industrial production.

When the sub-sectors of industry are examined, in January 2024, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 4.9% compared to the same month of the previous year, the manufacturing sector index increased by 0.4%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 8.4%.

INCREASE OBSERVED IN MINING SECTOR INDEX

When the sub-sectors of industry are examined, in January 2024, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 4.3% compared to the previous month, the manufacturing sector index decreased by 0.6%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 4.6%.
