The unemployment rate in Turkey decreased by 0.2 percentage points in July compared to the previous month, falling to 9.4 percent.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced labor force statistics for the month of July.
Accordingly, the number of unemployed persons aged 15 and over decreased by 38 thousand compared to the previous month, reaching 3 million 291 thousand. The unemployment rate fell by 0.2 percentage points to 9.4 percent.
The unemployment rate was estimated at 7.6 percent for men and 12.9 percent for women.
In July, the unemployment rate for the youth population, covering the 15-24 age group, decreased by 0.3 percentage points compared to the previous month, reaching 18 percent. In this age group, the unemployment rate was projected to be 15.2 percent for men and 23.1 percent for women.
