While the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) usually shares inflation data with the public on the 3rd of every month, it announced it on Monday, November 4, due to the calendar. The inflation data, which affects millions, was eagerly awaited by citizens. TÜİK had announced the September inflation rate as 2.97 percent, while the annual inflation rate was 49.38 percent. TÜİK ANNOUNCED THE OCTOBER 2024 INFLATION RATE!

TÜİK announced the October inflation rate today at 10:00 AM. Accordingly, the monthly inflation rate was 2.88 percent, while the annual inflation rate was 48.58 percent.

LOWEST INCREASE WAS IN TRANSPORTATION

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the main group that showed the lowest increase was transportation at 26.14 percent. In contrast, the main group with the highest increase compared to the same month of the previous year was education at 93.66 percent.

In terms of main expenditure groups, the main group that decreased the most in October 2024 compared to the previous month was transportation at -0.54 percent.

CLOTHING SAW THE HIGHEST INCREASE

In contrast, the main group with the highest increase in October 2024 compared to the previous month was clothing and footwear at 14.32 percent.
