In November, the foreign trade deficit increased by 6.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 7 billion 508 million dollars to 7 billion 982 million dollars. The export-to-import coverage ratio, which was 74.8 percent in November 2024, fell to 73.8 percent in November 2025.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the Foreign Trade Statistics for November. According to the provisional foreign trade data produced in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade under the general trade system, exports in November 2025 increased by 1.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 22 billion 536 million dollars, while imports increased by 2.6 percent to 30 billion 518 million dollars.
EXPORTS INCREASED BY 3.6 PERCENT AND IMPORTS BY 5.7 PERCENT IN THE JANUARY-NOVEMBER PERIOD
According to the general trade system, exports in the January-November 2025 period increased by 3.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 247 billion 23 million dollars, while imports increased by 5.7 percent to 329 billion 698 million dollars.
EXPORTS EXCLUDING ENERGY PRODUCTS AND GOLD INCREASED BY 3.2 PERCENT AND IMPORTS BY 6.0 PERCENT IN NOVEMBER
Exports excluding energy products and non-monetary gold increased by 3.2 percent in November 2025, rising from 20 billion 740 million dollars to 21 billion 396 million dollars.
In November, imports excluding energy products and non-monetary gold increased by 6.0 percent, rising from 21 billion 930 million dollars to 23 billion 250 million dollars.
The foreign trade deficit excluding energy products and non-monetary gold was 1 billion 854 million dollars in November. The foreign trade volume increased by 4.6 percent to 44 billion 647 million dollars. In the same month, the export-to-import coverage ratio excluding energy and gold was 92.0 percent.

FOREIGN TRADE DEFICIT INCREASED BY 12.6 PERCENT IN THE JANUARY-NOVEMBER PERIOD
In the January-November period, the foreign trade deficit increased by 12.6 percent, rising from 73 billion 421 million dollars to 82 billion 674 million dollars. The export-to-import coverage ratio, which was 76.5 percent in the January-November 2024 period, fell to 74.9 percent in the same period of 2025.
MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY'S SHARE IN TOTAL EXPORTS WAS 93.2 PERCENT IN NOVEMBER
Regarding exports by economic activity, the share of the manufacturing industry in November 2025 was 93.2 percent, the share of the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sector was 4.5 percent, and the share of the mining and quarrying sector was 1.7 percent.
In the January-November period, the share of the manufacturing industry in exports by economic activity was 94.4 percent, the share of the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sector was 3.4 percent, and the share of the mining and quarrying sector was 1.6 percent.
INTERMEDIATE GOODS' SHARE IN TOTAL IMPORTS WAS 67.8 PERCENT IN NOVEMBER
According to the classification of broad economic groups, the share of intermediate goods in imports in November 2025 was 67.8 percent, the share of capital goods was 15.3 percent, and the share of consumption goods was 16.3 percent.
In the January-November 2025 period, the share of intermediate goods in imports was 68.8 percent, the share of capital goods was 14.7 percent, and the share of consumption goods was 16.2 percent.
