According to the 2025 iPhone Price Index, Turkey stands out as the most expensive country in the world for the iPhone 16 Pro model. The research conducted by Deutsche Bank covers 41 countries and shows that the price of an iPhone 16 Pro in Turkey has reached 2,182 dollars. This price is 102 percent higher than the 1,079 dollar price in the United States, meaning it is more than double.

Behind these high prices in Turkey are heavy taxes such as the 50 percent luxury consumption tax and value-added tax. These taxes significantly increase iPhone prices. Additionally, import tariffs and various other taxes contribute to the rise in prices. As for economic factors, currency fluctuations and inflation are among the other elements affecting costs.

While the starting price of the iPhone 16 Pro in the United States is 1,079 dollars, this price is at higher levels in many countries. South Korea, with its price of 1,063 dollars, draws attention as the only country where iPhones are sold cheaper than in the United States.

While Turkey leads the list of the top 10 countries with the highest iPhone prices worldwide, the price differences in other countries are also noteworthy.
