Turkey's 6-month oil and natural gas production figures announced
According to Ministry of Energy data, 23.1 million barrels of oil and over 1.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced domestically in the first 6 months of the year.

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has shared Turkey's domestic oil and natural gas production data for the first half of 2026. Accordingly, total oil production reached 23.1 million barrels in the January-June period.
According to the Ministry's statement, 21.8 million barrels of the oil production were carried out by the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO). The highest share in total oil production came from Gabar with 60 percent.
In the same period, natural gas production exceeded 1 billion 641 million cubic meters. While TPAO undertook 1 billion 608 million cubic meters of this production, the production of private sector companies was 33 million cubic meters. 92 percent of the total natural gas production was provided from the Sakarya Gas Field.
In the statement, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, whose views were included, stated that domestic oil and natural gas production continues, saying, "While we are increasing our oil production with the new wells we have opened in Gabar on one hand, we will also double our natural gas production in the Black Sea this year on the other."
