Turkey's doner giant in concordat process
A significant turning point has been reached in the concordat process for Ekrem Coşkun Döner, which has hundreds of branches across Turkey. A 15-day application period for the company's creditors has officially begun.

Struggling with economic difficulties, Ekrem Coşkun Döner filed for a concordat last June to overcome its financial distress. With the decision of the Konya 3rd Commercial Court of First Instance, a three-month temporary grace period was granted to the company, during which the company's financial structure began to be audited by a Concordat Commissioner.
With the official announcement published by the Concordat Commissioner, individuals and organizations with claims against the company must register their receivables within 15 days to protect their rights. Applications can be made in person, through representatives with notarized power of attorney, or via registered mail to the Concordat Commissioner's office.
According to the statement made within the scope of the process, creditors who do not apply on time may face the loss of certain rights. Creditors registered in the company's balance sheet will only be able to participate in the meeting limited to the amount in the records. However, those who do not have any record in the balance sheet and do not provide notification will not be able to participate in the concordat meeting or the determination of the receivable amounts.
Interested parties are required to make their applications in accordance with Article 299 of the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law No. 2004. It is requested that the principal and ancillary receivables be specified separately in the claim notification, and that any secured receivables be clearly written along with the maturity date. Foreign currency-based claims must be calculated based on the exchange rate on June 17, 2025, the date the company's concordat application was accepted. In addition, if interest has been accrued, a calculation table for the period up to November 7, 2025, the date the final grace period began, must also be officially submitted. Notifications that do not comply with the conditions or are made with missing documents will be considered invalid.
