Turkey's oil imports increased by 0.96 percent in October

Turkey's total imports of oil and petroleum products increased by 0.96 percent in October compared to the same month last year, reaching 4 million 244 thousand 16 tons.

According to the "Petroleum Market Sector Report" for October by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), imports of crude oil, which constitute the largest item in Turkey's total oil imports, increased by 2.04 percent to 2 million 943 thousand 11 tons.

During this period, imports of diesel types rose by 7.37 percent to 925 thousand 871 tons.

The remainder of the imports consisted of aviation and marine fuels, gasoline and fuel-oil types, and other products.

Thus, total imports in October increased by 0.96 percent compared to the same month last year, reaching 4 million 244 thousand 16 tons.

While the highest volume of crude oil and petroleum product imports was from Russia with 2 million 118 thousand 937 tons, this country was followed by Iraq with 865 thousand 903 tons and Kazakhstan with 553 thousand 687 tons.

On the other hand, gasoline sales increased by 6.25 percent in October compared to the same month last year to 326 thousand 685 tons, while diesel sales increased by 0.83 percent to 2 million 207 thousand 29 tons.

Total petroleum product sales recorded an increase of 1.05 percent, reaching 2 million 679 thousand 997 tons.

PETROLEUM PRODUCT EXPORTS INCREASED BY 0.58 PERCENT

Turkey's aviation fuel exports rose by 14.1 percent in October to 480 thousand 280 tons, while marine fuel exports decreased by 31.4 percent to 97 thousand 555 tons.

Gasoline type exports increased by 12.1 percent to 162 thousand 555 tons, and diesel type exports increased by 33.3 percent to 285 thousand 842 tons.

Total exports in the petroleum market, including other products, rose by 9.63 percent to 1 million 292 thousand 801 tons.

Production of diesel types in October increased by 2.4 percent compared to the same month last year to 1 million 596 thousand 497 tons, gasoline type production increased by 19.9 percent to 519 thousand 605 tons, and aviation fuel production increased by 33.8 percent to 519 thousand 192 tons. Marine fuel production was calculated to have decreased by 44.9 percent to 80 thousand 317 tons.

Total refinery petroleum product production, including other fuel types, increased by approximately 7.32 percent to 3 million 449 thousand 379 tons.
