Turkey's oil imports increased in July: Exceeded 4.3 million tons
According to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority's report, Turkey's total imports of oil and petroleum products showed an increase compared to the same period last year. While crude oil imports rose by 8.19 percent, there was a decrease in diesel imports. Significant increases were observed in exports.

Turkey's total imports of oil and petroleum products increased by 5.15 percent in July compared to the same period last year, reaching 4 million 335 thousand 611 tons. According to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EPDK) "Petroleum Market Sector Report", crude oil imports in this period reached 2 million 615 thousand 90 tons, an increase of 8.19 percent.
A decrease of 1.33 percent was observed in diesel imports, with the figure recorded at 1 million 250 thousand 26 tons. The remainder of the imports consisted of aviation and marine fuels, gasoline, and other products.
Russia became Turkey's largest supplier of crude oil and petroleum products, with imports from this country recorded at 1 million 582 thousand 473 tons. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 387 thousand 115 tons and 214 thousand 847 tons, respectively.
Domestic gasoline sales increased by 8.87 percent in July to 461 thousand 469 tons, while diesel sales decreased by 11.91 percent to 2 million 338 thousand 59 tons. Total sales of petroleum products were recorded at 2 million 967 thousand 659 tons, a decrease of 8 percent.
INCREASE IN OIL EXPORTS
A remarkable increase was experienced in the exports of petroleum products. Aviation fuel exports increased by 13.86 percent to 538 thousand 318 tons, and marine fuel exports rose by 48.4 percent to 165 thousand 177 tons. While gasoline exports increased by 66.7 percent to reach 13 thousand 219 tons, diesel exports decreased by 33.3 percent to 31 thousand 19 tons. Total oil exports increased by 13.5 percent to 1 million 145 thousand 231 tons.
Production of diesel types increased by 3.33 percent in July compared to the same month last year to 1 million 355 thousand 874 tons, and production of gasoline types increased by 6.26 percent to 471 thousand 173 tons. Aviation fuel production was calculated at 620 thousand 238 tons with an increase of 10.32 percent, and marine fuel production increased by 48.9 percent to 141 thousand 10 tons. Total refinery petroleum product production increased by approximately 3.5 percent to 3 million 264 thousand 777 tons.
