Turkish textile company that produced for major brands goes bankrupt
The finalized bankruptcy of Settriko Tekstil, one of Turkey's significant manufacturers in the textile sector, has affected the supply chains of numerous national and international brands.

Founded in Istanbul in 2008 and operating in its 3,000-square-meter factory, Settriko Tekstil supplied products to domestic giants such as Boyner, LC Waikiki, and Defacto, as well as to various European countries. The company was known to have an annual production capacity of approximately 1 million 700 thousand units.
Settriko Tekstil exported not only within Turkey but also to many points in Europe, primarily Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Scandinavian countries. Thanks to its large-scale production capacity, it was among the trusted suppliers for more than 30 international brands, including Inditex, Dunnes Stores, Liberty, Voice, Weirdfish, Seven Sisters, and Missamerica.
The company, which entered a financial bottleneck, was unable to withstand the increasing financial pressures in recent times, leading to its bankruptcy. At the end of the process, it was announced that the management of Settriko Tekstil had completely ceased operations and the factory had closed for production. This development could trigger supply chain disruptions for firms that collaborated with the company.
Industry representatives state that the withdrawal of an established player like Settriko Tekstil from the market will create a significant gap in both production capacity and international connections. The company's bankruptcy has once again highlighted the impact of current economic conditions on fluctuations in the textile sector.
