Wall Street indices rose on Friday, supported by a rally in tech giant stocks, with the S&P 500 closing up 1.56 percent and the Nasdaq 100 up 2.25 percent.

Thus, as the indices continued their November rallies, the S&P 500 reached its highest level in 7 weeks and climbed above its 100-day moving average, a move seen as a signal that the rise will continue according to technical analysis.

The Nasdaq 100 achieved its strongest gain since May, with Microsoft Corp. hitting a record high and Nvidia Corp. extending its rally to an 8th session.

On the new trading day of the week, the anxiety over the US CPI data to be released this week is being felt in the markets. US index futures are in the red in early trading. The outlook in Asia is negative. The Bloomberg Dollar Index, which rose 0.76 percent throughout last week, is flat.
