In the EU, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate, which was 6 percent in December, remained unchanged in January.
In the Eurozone, the unemployment rate, which was 6.5 percent in December, fell to 6.4 percent in January. The unemployment rate was measured at 6.6 percent in the Eurozone and 6.1 percent in the EU in January 2023.
In January, the unemployment rate was determined to be 11.6 percent in Spain, 10.4 percent in Greece, 8.1 percent in Sweden, and 7.5 percent in France.
The number of unemployed people in the EU was calculated at 13 million 144 thousand in January. Of these individuals, 11 million 9 thousand were in the Eurozone.
