Konya Metropolitan Municipality has raised public transport fares again due to rising costs. Under the new tariff, a full fare is now 22.5 TL, and a discounted fare is 9 TL.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality has decided to raise public transport fares once again due to the impact of rising fuel prices. According to a report by Sözcü, with this increase, the full fare has risen from 17.5 TL to 22.5 TL, and the discounted fare has increased from 6.5 TL to 9 TL. Additionally, the full monthly pass fee has been set at 1,400 TL, and the discounted monthly pass at 350 TL. For payments made with contactless bank cards, the fee will be 22.5 TL at contracted banks and 24.3 TL at other banks.
PAST HIKES
The municipality had implemented a similar hike on February 3, 2025. At that time, student tickets had risen from 5 TL to 6.75 TL, and full tickets from 13 TL to 17.5 TL. With these hikes implemented over the last six months, there has been a total increase of 73 percent in public transport fares.
DOLMUŞ AND SHUTTLE FEES ALSO INCREASED
In Konya, not only public transport but also dolmuş (minibus) and school shuttle fees have been affected by the hikes. While the minibus short-distance fare has risen from 20 TL to 25 TL, school shuttle fees have also been increased by 20 percent. These increases have significantly impacted transportation costs in the city.
