Up to 35 percent price hike for İSPARK approved by IMM Assembly

Commission reports were discussed and put to a vote at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Assembly. The "Revised Fee Tariff," which includes a price hike of up to 35 percent for İSPARK parking fees, was approved by majority vote.

The third session of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Assembly for June was held at the municipal building in Saraçhane, chaired by the Assembly's 1st Deputy Speaker Nuri Aslan.

The proposal to increase the fees for parking lots operated by the IMM subsidiary İSPARK by up to 50 percent was discussed in the assembly.

Within the scope of the price hike proposal, it was requested that the parking fee for up to 1 hour for vehicles in indoor multi-story parking lots, open parking lots, and roadside parking spots in Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Fatih, Kadıköy, Şişli, Üsküdar, Ataşehir, Bakırköy, Beykoz, Bayrampaşa, Bahçelievler, Eyüpsultan, Güngören, Kartal, Kağıthane, Maltepe, Pendik, Sarıyer, Zeytinburnu, Tuzla, and Ümraniye be increased by 35 percent, from 52 liras to 70 liras.

In these districts, it was requested that the parking fee for 1-2 hours be increased from 66 liras to 90 liras, the fee for 2-4 hours be increased by 50 percent from 73 liras to 110 liras, the fee for 4-8 hours from 101 liras to 135 liras, the fee for 8-12 hours from 134 liras to 180 liras, and the fee for 12-24 hours from 202 liras to 270 liras.

In the proposal, it was stated that for indoor multi-story, open, and roadside parking lots in the districts of Adalar, Arnavutköy, Avcılar, Bağcılar, Başakşehir, Beylikdüzü, Büyükçekmece, Çatalca, Çekmeköy, Esenler, Esenyurt, Gaziosmanpaşa, Küçükçekmece, Sancaktepe, Silivri, Sultangazi, Sultanbeyli, and Şile, the 1-hour parking fee, which is 36 liras, should be increased to 50 liras.

THE LAST PRICE HIKE WAS IN OCTOBER 2023

In these districts, it was requested that the fee for 1-2 hours be increased from 45 liras to 60 liras, the fee for 2-4 hours from 58 liras to 80 liras, the fee for 4-8 hours from 73 liras to 100 liras, the fee for 8-12 hours from 112 liras to 150 liras, and the fee for 12-24 hours from 146 liras to 195 liras.

An increase was also requested for entrance fees to forests, groves, and recreational areas.

Accordingly, it was requested that the entrance fee be increased from 104 liras to 141 liras for cars, from 298 liras to 403 liras for minibuses-pickup trucks-panel vans, from 524 liras to 708 liras for midibuses, from 1050 liras to 1418 liras for buses-trucks, and from 69 liras to 94 liras for motorcycles.

In the vote held at the assembly, the proposal to increase İSPARK parking fees was accepted with the votes of CHP members against the "no" vote of the AK Party.

It was stated that the new İSPARK fee tariff will come into effect after being approved.

The last price hike for İSPARK parking fees was implemented on October 11, 2023, with rates of up to 57 percent.
