Weekly data from oilfield services company Baker Hughes has been released.

According to the data, the number of oil rigs in the country increased by 5 compared to the previous week during the week of November 25 – December 1, reaching 505.

The number of oil rigs in the US has decreased by 122 over the last year.

The price of a barrel of Brent crude, which closed Thursday at 80.86 dollars, finished Friday at the 79.56 dollar level.

The price of a barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil closed at 74.38 dollars on Friday. A barrel of WTI crude had finished Thursday at the 75.96 dollar level.
