Vice President Yılmaz's statement on retirees: Retirees expect a raise, the government offers a 'campaign'!

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz evaluated the economic agenda on the A Haber live broadcast. Stating that their primary priority in their programs is to reduce inflation, Yılmaz noted that they expect a decline of "around 20 points" in inflation.

SANCTIONS FOR EXORBITANT PRICES

Regarding "exorbitant prices," Yılmaz also said, "There will be this sanction, there will be that sanction. I won't say anything about the work before it is finished, but the essence of the matter is, as you said, to increase sanctions, make them more deterrent, and thus better address this complaint of our citizens. When our preparations are fully shaped in the near future, the content will be shared with the public."

WILL THERE BE A RAISE FOR RETIREES?

In response to the question, "What kind of regulation and work can be done regarding retirees?" Yılmaz replied, "As you know, an increase was made for our retirees for 6 months. This increase, which reached up to 50 percent, was valid for 6 months, it was made for a 6-month period. After 6 months, these evaluations will of course be made for our retirees, just as they are for civil servants. Therefore, the necessary adjustments will certainly be addressed and made there. On the other hand, there are some studies and preparations that our Ministry of Labor is conducting regarding retirees that touch upon daily life. When they are completed, our Ministry of Labor will share them with the public."

In recent days, it was announced by the government wing regarding the livelihood difficulties of retirees that discounts would be provided in areas such as Tarım Kredi markets, PTT, flight tickets, and theater-cinema. 

Retirees reacted with criticism to the discount messages given while they were expecting a raise.
