VIOP starts the day with a flat trend!

In the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP), the December-term contract based on the BIST 30 index started the day with a flat trend at 9,090.00 points.

In the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP), the February-term index contract traded at the 9,090.00 level in the opening session, just above the previous normal session close.

Yesterday, the index contract followed a volatile course and completed the normal session at 9,089.25 points, 0.1 percent above its previous close. The index contract reached 9,096.25 points in the evening session.

Analysts stated that global equity markets are following a mixed trend following signals received from announced macroeconomic data and corporate financial results.

CBRT HAD INCREASED INTEREST RATES TO 45 PERCENT

On the other hand, yesterday the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) increased the policy rate by 250 basis points to 45 percent. In the announcement made by the CBRT, it was stated, "The Committee assessed that the level of monetary tightness required to establish disinflation has been reached and that this level will be maintained as long as necessary."

Analysts noted that the domestic data agenda is quiet today, while consumer confidence index data in Germany and personal income and expenditure data in the US will be monitored abroad, and recorded that technically, the 9,150 and 9,200 levels are resistance, while 9,000 and 8,900 points are support positions for the index contract.
