The week's winning investment vehicles: Dollar and euro on the rise, gold loses value
Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 0.59 percent on a weekly basis, providing returns to investors. In the foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL rose by 0.28 percent, while the euro/TL increased by 1.75 percent. On the other hand, the gram price of gold saw a decline of 2.68 percent.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,422.17 points and a high of 9,782.23 points, finished the week at 9,658.72 points, up 0.59 percent from the previous week's close.
In the Grand Bazaar, the gram price of 24-karat bullion gold fell by 2.68 percent to 3,340 liras, while republic gold also lost 2.64 percent in value, finding buyers at 22,630 liras. The selling price of quarter gold decreased by 2.70 percent compared to the end of last week, falling to 5,594 liras.
On the foreign exchange front, the dollar/TL exchange rate rose by 0.28 percent to reach 36.5130, while the euro/TL reached 37.9910 liras with a 1.75 percent increase.
While investment funds lost 0.15 percent and pension funds lost 0.01 percent in value this week, the best-performing investment funds were "debt instruments" funds with a gain of 0.89 percent.
