According to data from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), the highest electricity consumption yesterday occurred at 18:00 with 45 thousand 86 megawatt-hours, while the lowest consumption was recorded at 05:00 with 28 thousand 605 megawatt-hours.
On a daily basis, 906 thousand 370 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced yesterday, and consumption was recorded at 917 thousand 448 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal power plants ranked first in production with 24.1 percent. This was followed by natural gas power plants with 22 percent and dam-based hydroelectric power plants with 20 percent.
On the other hand, Turkey exported 6 thousand 861 megawatt-hours of electricity and imported 17 thousand 794 megawatt-hours of electricity yesterday.
