Ahead of the interest rate decision to be announced by the Central Bank on October 17, economists participating in the AA Finance MPC Expectation Survey have shared their forecasts regarding the policy rate.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will announce the policy rate on Thursday, October 17.
Ahead of the interest rate decision that markets are closely watching, the Anadolu Agency (AA) Finance expectation survey was concluded with the participation of 16 economists.
The median value of the economists' expectations regarding changes to the policy rate was for the rate to be kept constant at 50 percent.
According to the survey results, all of the economists predict that the policy rate will be kept constant at 50 percent.
The median of the economists' year-end policy rate expectations was calculated as 47.50 percent.
Furthermore, 5 of the economists predicted that the policy rate would be 50 percent at the end of the year, while 7 predicted it would be 47.5 percent.
In the MPC meeting held last month, the policy rate was kept constant at 50 percent.
