What will inflation be? Survey results announced: Economists weigh in

Economists participating in the Anadolu Agency Finance Inflation Expectation Survey estimate that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) will rise by 2.28 percent in June.

The expectation survey by AA Finance regarding the June inflation data, which will be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Wednesday, July 3, was concluded with the participation of 15 economists.

Accordingly, the average of the economists' inflation expectations for June was 2.28 percent.

The inflation expectations of the economists participating in the survey for June ranged from a low of 1.90 percent to a high of 3.00 percent.

Based on the average of the economists' June inflation expectations, annual inflation, which was 75.45 percent in the previous month, is projected to fall to 72.68 percent.

On the other hand, the economists' year-end inflation expectation for 2024 was 42.61 percent in June.

The Consumer Price Index had recorded an increase of 3.37 percent in May.
