Which investment instrument gained the most and which lost the most this week?

While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 2.29 percent on a weekly basis, the gram price of gold lost 2.64 percent, the dollar/TL rate lost 0.43 percent, and the euro/TL rate lost 0.35 percent.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,645.02 and a high of 9,956.11 points, completed the week at 9,915.62 points, gaining 2.29 percent compared to the previous week's close.

The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar decreased by 2.64 percent this week to 2,436 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold fell by 5.14 percent to 16,364 liras.

The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,343 liras last weekend, dropped to 4,110 liras.

This week, the US dollar lost 0.43 percent in value to 32.4470 liras, and the euro fell by 0.35 percent to 34.7330 liras.

Investment funds gained 0.88 percent and individual pension funds gained 1.28 percent this week.

When viewed by category, the highest-earning investment funds were "Stock" funds with 2.64 percent.
