The best-performing investment instruments for October have been announced.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the "real rates of return for financial investment instruments" for October.

Accordingly, the highest monthly real return in October was seen in gold bullion, with 4.82 percent when adjusted for the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) and 3.2 percent when adjusted for the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

When adjusted for the D-PPI, deposit interest (gross) provided a real return of 2.03 percent to investors, while the dollar caused a loss of 0.71 percent, government domestic debt securities (GDDS) a loss of 0.99 percent, the euro a loss of 2.42 percent, and the BIST 100 index a loss of 10.81 percent.

When adjusted for the CPI, deposit interest (gross) provided a real return of 0.46 percent to investors, while the dollar caused a loss of 2.25 percent, GDDS a loss of 2.52 percent, the euro a loss of 3.93 percent, and the BIST 100 index a loss of 12.19 percent.

In the 3-month evaluation, gold bullion was the investment instrument that provided the highest real return to investors, at 15 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 10.6 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

During the same period, the BIST 100 index stood out as the investment instrument that caused the most loss to investors, with 22.03 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 25.01 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

According to the 6-month evaluation, deposit interest (gross) was the investment instrument that provided the highest real return to investors, at 12.61 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 5.22 percent when adjusted for the CPI. During the same period, the BIST 100 index was calculated as the investment instrument that caused the most loss to investors, with 16.03 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 21.54 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

HIGHEST ANNUAL REAL RETURN IN GOLD BULLION

When financial investment instruments were evaluated annually, gold bullion stood out as the investment instrument providing the highest real return to investors, at 31.34 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 16.89 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

In the annual evaluation, when adjusted for the D-PPI, deposit interest (gross) caused a loss of 1.58 percent, the euro 4.07 percent, the dollar 7.16 percent, GDDS 9.03 percent, and the BIST 100 index 16.56 percent to investors.

When adjusted for the CPI, deposit interest (gross) caused a loss of 12.4 percent, the euro 14.62 percent, the dollar 17.37 percent, GDDS 19.03 percent, and the BIST 100 index 25.74 percent to investors.
