The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,733.35 and a high of 10,193.88 points, completed the week at 9,907.38 points, losing 5.40 percent in value compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 0.92 percent this week to 2,619 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 1.11 percent to 17,310 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,290 liras last weekend, rose to 4,345 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 1.03 percent to reach 33.5360 liras, and the euro rose by 1.15 percent to 36.6370 liras.
Investment funds lost 1.23 percent and pension funds lost 2.02 percent in value this week.
When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Money Market" funds with a gain of 0.95 percent.
