While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 1.71 percent on a weekly basis, the gram price of gold rose by 0.33 percent and the dollar/TL exchange rate increased by 0.20 percent, whereas the euro/TL exchange rate recorded a decrease of 0.82 percent.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,523.25 and a high of 9,888.40 points, completed the week at 9,833.22 points, gaining 1.71 percent in value compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 0.33 percent this week to 2,757 liras, and the selling price of Republic gold rose by 2.28 percent to 18,722 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,590 liras last weekend, rose to 4,617 liras.
While the US dollar gained 0.20 percent in value this week to reach 34.0690 liras, the euro fell by 0.82 percent to 37.6870 liras.
Investment funds lost 0.23 percent and pension funds lost 0.41 percent in value this week.
When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Money Market" funds with a gain of 0.80 percent.
