Which investment instruments gained and which lost this week? Stock market, foreign currency, gold

Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 3.28 percent on a weekly basis, while the gram price of gold rose by 2.04 percent and the dollar/TL exchange rate increased by 1.31 percent; the euro/TL exchange rate lost 0.01 percent in value.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,958.11 and a high of 10,575.98 points, completed the week at 10,471.32 points, gaining 3.28 percent compared to the previous week's close.

The gram selling price of 24-karat gold bullion traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 2.04 percent this week to 2,450 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 0.44 percent to 15,970 liras.

The selling price of quarter gold, which was 3,930 liras last weekend, rose to 4,010 liras.

This week, the US dollar gained 1.31 percent in value to reach 32.6860 liras, while the euro fell by 0.01 percent to 34.9060 liras.

Investment funds gained 0.30 percent and individual pension funds gained 0.73 percent this week.

When viewed by category, the top-performing investment funds were "Stock" funds with a gain of 1.00 percent.
