While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul rose by an average of 2.23 percent and the dollar/TL exchange rate increased by 0.14 percent on a weekly basis, the gram price of gold fell by 4.40 percent and the euro/TL rate declined by 1.71 percent.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,128.63 and a high of 9,501.13 points, completed the week at 9,389.62 points, up 2.23 percent from the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar fell by 4.40 percent this week to 2,844 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold dropped by 4.35 percent to 19,305 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,983 liras last weekend, fell by 4.39 percent to 4,764 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 0.14 percent in value to reach 34.4170 liras, while the euro fell by 1.71 percent to 36.3250 liras.
Investment funds gained 1.56 percent and pension funds gained 2.29 percent this week.
When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "stock" funds with a gain of 4.77 percent.
