Baykar Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar became Turkey's 2022 income tax record holder.

The Revenue Administration has announced the list of the 100 taxpayers who declared the most tax across Turkey, following the evaluation of annual income tax and corporate tax returns for the 2022 taxation period.

The record holder at the top of the list of taxpayers declaring the most income tax was Baykar Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar. A tax of 564 million 124 thousand 318 Turkish Lira was accrued to Bayraktar for the year 2022.

Eighty-six percent of the 2022 turnover of Baykar, the firm with the highest exports in the defense and aviation sector, was generated from export revenues.

Baykar, where Selçuk Bayraktar also serves as the technology leader, single-handedly accounted for more than 25 percent of the total exports made in the defense and aviation industry in 2022.

Taxpayers in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th spots on the list requested that their names not be disclosed.

The 3rd name with the highest accrued income tax was Mustafa Rahmi Koç with 200 million 757 thousand 695 Turkish Lira.

Mehmet Sinan Tara took the 8th spot on the list, followed by İpek Kıraç in 9th and Mehmet Ömer Koç in 10th.

CORPORATE TAX RECORD HOLDERS

In the list of taxpayers declaring corporate tax, the institutions in the 1st and 3rd spots requested that their names not be disclosed. Türkiye Garanti Bankası took the 2nd spot on the list with a tax accrual of 21 billion 419 million 640 thousand 283 Turkish Lira.
