Tiyatro Tempo, which has been producing puppet-focused theater works for children, youth, and adults with a contemporary approach since 1984, has announced that its stage located in Ankara's Çankaya district has closed due to economic reasons.

'UNFORTUNATELY, OUR STAGE HAS CLOSED'

Following this development, a statement from the Tiyatromuz Yaşasın platform said, "Private theaters are going through difficult times due to rising costs in recent years. Unfortunately, Tiyatro Tempo's 14-year-old stage has closed. It should not be forgotten that independent theaters have been an important part of our culture for over 70 years on average, and their closure will culturally impoverish our society."

Officials announced that negotiations with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and relevant institutions are ongoing.
