The official calendar for when KYK scholarship and student loan applications for the 2026-2027 academic year will be accepted has not yet been announced. Once the application dates are announced by the Ministry, students will be able to complete their procedures via e-Devlet.

In the previous academic term, KYK scholarship and student loan applications began on October 13, 2025, and students were able to complete their applications until 23:59 on Friday, October 17, 2025. Students are following the official announcement for this year as well.

The official calendar for KYK scholarship and loan applications will be announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP?

Priority is given to certain student groups for KYK scholarships. This includes unmarried children of martyrs, or unmarried siblings if there are no children; veterans or their unmarried children; students determined to have a disability of 40 percent or more with a medical board report; and unmarried students whose parents are deceased.

Those who completed their high school or equivalent education while residing under the Ministry of Family and Social Services, or those taken under protection within the scope of the Child Protection Law, are also among the priority groups. Graduates of Darüşşafaka High School, national athletes meeting the specified criteria, and students who rank in the top one hundred based on raw scores in the field proficiency exams of the placement exams conducted by ÖSYM are also evaluated within the scope of the scholarship.

According to the regulations, a student cannot receive both a scholarship and a student loan at the same time. A student receiving a scholarship is not paid a loan, and a student receiving a loan is not paid a scholarship.

Applications can be made via e-Devlet once the calendar is announced.

IN WHICH CASES ARE SCHOLARSHIPS AND LOANS TERMINATED?

Situations that lead to the termination of a student loan include the student leaving or being expelled from the educational institution, receiving a suspension penalty of at least one semester, freezing registration, failing to register for courses, not continuing education due to health reasons, the closure of the educational institution, and conviction by a final judgment.

Receiving a "permanent expulsion from the dormitory" penalty from dormitories affiliated with the Ministry, failing to withdraw the loan deposited into the student's account within six months, providing false information or documents, and renouncing or being removed from citizenship can also cause the loan payment to end.
