According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Education, the first written exams of the first term of the 2024-2025 academic year were held nationwide on Wednesday, October 30, for 6th-grade Turkish and 10th-grade Turkish Language and Literature, and on Thursday, October 31, for 6th-grade mathematics and 10th-grade mathematics.

In the nationwide common written exams, 7 open-ended and short-answer questions were used for 6th-grade Turkish, 7 for 6th-grade mathematics, 8 for 10th-grade Turkish Language and Literature, and 7 for 10th-grade mathematics.

Thus, for the first time, exclusively open-ended and short-answer questions were used in nationwide common written exams.

In these nationwide common exams, which were conducted to monitor student progress, ensure integrity in curriculum implementation across schools, and establish uniformity in practice, students wrote their answers in their own words for the open-ended questions.

The exams were held in separate sessions for morning and afternoon students. Equivalent but different questions were used in the morning and afternoon sessions. The sessions were limited to 40 minutes, the duration of one class period. It was ensured that the sessions started and ended at the same time across the country.

The evaluation of the 6th-grade mathematics exam will be carried out by two independent graders at the provincial measurement and evaluation center directorates. The results of the 6th-grade common written exam for mathematics will be made available to school administrations at "ortakyazilisinav.meb.gov.tr" and will be entered into the e-School system by the subject teachers.

The evaluation of the 6th-grade Turkish, 10th-grade Turkish Language and Literature, and 10th-grade mathematics exams will be performed by the educational institution's grade/subject committees or the relevant subject teachers.

The exam results for these subjects will also be entered into the e-School system by the relevant subject teachers and reported to the students.
