GREEN LIGHT FROM THE JUDICIARY FOR CAMERA IMPLEMENTATION
With the decision taken by the 8th Chamber of the Council of State, the administrative regulation that prevented the installation of camera systems in special education classrooms will no longer be valid. Accordingly, it is expected that the Ministry of National Education will determine new rules regarding the implementation so that camera systems can be put into use in these classrooms in the new period.
EMPHASIS ON SECURITY AND PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE DECISION
In the court decision, it was pointed out that many children with special needs often cannot express the neglect, abuse, or violence they experience due to the difficulties they face in communication. The decision also emphasized that the presence of cameras in special education classrooms serves the public interest both in terms of ensuring the safety of children and in investigating potential allegations of neglect and abuse more effectively.
ALL EYES ON THE STEPS TO BE TAKEN BY THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL EDUCATION
The court decision is expected to increase the sense of security for students with special needs and their families in the coming period, and at the same time serve as an effective tool for strengthening transparency and supervision in educational environments. It is anticipated that the new steps the Ministry of National Education will take in this area and the details regarding the camera implementation will become clear in the coming days.
