Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, who arrived in Düzce, paid surprise visits to schools early in the morning. Teachers were surprised to see Minister Tekin, who conducted inspections at the Düzce Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Primary School and the 15 July Martyrs Anatolian High School without the knowledge of local protocol members or party officials.
Stating that they visit schools before official engagements, Minister Tekin said, "It turned out very well. Our students were also happy. Honestly, since we first started at the ministry, we have been making unofficial visits during all our provincial trips, outside of our official programs. We chatted with our students and teachers. No one, including our governor, had any idea. Our English teacher, the duty teacher, thought I was a student's parent when she first saw me. They realize it later. Very nice moments occur. We are all in the same boat. We are all striving to move this country's education and training, the development of this country, and Turkey's place among the nations of the world one step higher. We act with this awareness. I always say this to each other. Together with all our teacher colleagues, we will be successful when we do our work with the same feelings, the same thoughts, and the same excitement, without falling into arrogance, in a humble manner, and without being prideful. We will definitely be successful."
