Erdoğan signs decree: New faculties established at universities, some closed
With the decision published in the Official Gazette, new faculties were established at some universities in Turkey, some were closed, and the names of some faculties were changed.

According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, the Faculty of Computer and Informatics Sciences was established at Samsun University, the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Istanbul Esenyurt University, the School of Foreign Languages at Şırnak University, the Institute of History of Engineering and Technology at Istanbul Technical University, the Faculty of Nursing at Lokman Hekim University, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Yeditepe University, and the Institute of Software and Informatics Research at Fırat University.
CLOSED FACULTIES AND NAME CHANGES
The School of Applied Sciences at Istanbul Esenyurt University, the School of Applied Sciences at Dokuz Eylül University, and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Yeditepe University were closed. Additionally, the name of the Faculty of Engineering at Fenerbahçe University was changed to the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the name of the Faculty of Engineering at Yeditepe University was changed to the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the name of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Yalova University was changed to the Faculty of Theology, the name of the Develi Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Kayseri University was changed to the Develi Faculty of Theology, and the name of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University was changed to the Faculty of Theology.
