According to the statement, a total of 15 thousand contract teachers will be appointed based on the 2024 KPSS results. The applications will be completed through a two-stage process. 15 THOUSAND CONTRACT TEACHERS WILL BE RECRUITED
The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has shared the application announcement regarding the recruitment of contract teachers with the public.
The announcement stated, "In order to serve in official educational institutions affiliated with our Ministry; within the scope of Article 4/B of the Civil Servants Law No. 657, the application process for appointment as a contract teacher in the fields specified in the 'List of Fields to be Appointed and Base Scores and Quotas for Application' (Annex-1) will be carried out within the framework of the explanations below. The application process will be carried out in two stages: Application and Preference Application."
WHEN ARE THE APPOINTMENT APPLICATIONS?
Applications for the recruitment of 15 thousand contract teachers will be carried out between April 21 and May 5, 2025.
HOW TO APPLY FOR CONTRACT TEACHER RECRUITMENT?
In order to determine the candidates who will participate in the oral exam to be held within the scope of contract teaching, applications will be made by filling out the Electronic Application Form via the ilkatama.meb.gov.tr website.
Candidates will access the application system with their e-Devlet username and password. All application procedures will be conducted digitally.
Applications must be completed by 16:00 on the final day of the application period in accordance with the determined calendar.
2025 TEACHER APPOINTMENT BRANCH DISTRIBUTION
The quota distribution by branch for the recruitment of 15 thousand teachers has been announced.
The top five branches with the highest recruitment are as follows: Primary school teaching leads with 4,378 quotas, followed by Special Education Teaching with 3,087, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Teaching with 1,802, Preschool Teaching with 1,321, and English Teaching with 757 quotas.
Quotas were determined based on occupancy rates across the country by field.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR CONTRACT TEACHER APPOINTMENT APPLICATIONS?
The application requirements specified in the 2025 April term contract teaching application guide published by the Ministry of National Education are as follows:
1. To meet the general conditions specified in Article 48 of the Civil Servants Law No. 657,
2. To be a Turkish citizen (The condition of being a Turkish citizen will not be sought for citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus),
3. The higher education program graduated from must be suitable for the field to be appointed according to the Board of Education's Decision No. 9 dated 20.02.2014 regarding the determination of those to be appointed as teachers,
4. Except for those to be appointed to fields where graduates of higher education programs that constitute the source for teaching do not meet the need, to have successfully completed the Non-Thesis Master's Program in Secondary Education Field Teaching or one of the Pedagogical Formation Program/Pedagogical Formation Education Certificate Programs,
5. For those who graduated from higher education institutions abroad, their higher education and/or pedagogical formation documents must have been accepted as equivalent to domestic higher education institutions or programs by the Council of Higher Education,
6. To have received a score of 50 or above in the score types (KPSSP10, KPSSP120, KPSSP121) for the field to be appointed in the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) held in 2024,
7. Not to have received a penalty requiring dismissal from civil service or the teaching profession,
8. Not to have been convicted of the crimes listed in Article 25 of the Teaching Profession Law No. 7528,
9. For those who were appointed as contract teachers within the scope of Article 4/B of Law No. 657 to our Ministry but whose appointments were canceled, and for those whose contracts were terminated while working as contract teachers, to have completed the one-year waiting period as of the last day of the application date,
10. For those whose contracts were terminated while working as contract teachers within the scope of Article 4/B of Law No. 657 in other public institutions and organizations, to have completed the one-year waiting period as of the last day of the application date, except for the exceptions listed in the additional Article 1 of the Principles Regarding the Employment of Contracted Personnel,
11. Not to be currently working as a contract teacher within the scope of Article 4/B of Law No. 657 in our Ministry or any public institution or organization.
