Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin was alleged to have announced that the summer vacation period would be shortened by about 20 days.

The 2024-2025 academic year calendar will be as follows:
1st Term mid-term break: November 11-15, 2024
Semester break: January 20, 2025 – January 31, 2025
2nd Term mid-term break: March 31, 2025 – April 4, 2025
Start of summer vacation: September 9, 2024
End of summer vacation: June 20, 2025
