Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin met with the national education directors of 81 provinces at the Şırnak Teacher's House. During the meeting, preparations for the new academic year, school-family cooperation, and the work to be carried out within the scope of the Turkey Century Education Model were evaluated.

“WE ARE ON THE DAY AFTER AN IMPORTANT STEP”

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Tekin said that they are working to ensure the safety of life, property, chastity, and honor, as well as the fundamental rights and freedoms of everyone living in Turkey.

Referring to the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration accepted in the TBMM, Tekin said, “I am very happy today. We are on the day after an important step has been taken.”

Stating that Turkey has reached its current point with the steps taken since 2002, Tekin expressed that 468 deputies from different political parties said “yes” to the regulation. Arguing that the democratization steps taken by the President over the 24-year process have made a significant contribution to this development, Tekin said that this process must be protected in the period ahead.

“WE MUST RAISE OUR CHILDREN TO PROTECT UNITY AND SOLIDARITY”

Stating that if national unity and solidarity are strengthened, Turkey will reach a different point in economic, social, and political terms, Tekin said that this understanding is also highlighted within the scope of the Turkey Century Education Model.

Conveying that the emphasis on national unity and solidarity is maintained in school activities, Tekin stated, “We are obligated to raise our children in a way that will protect the unity and solidarity of this country. This issue will be our main agenda in the coming period as well.”

Tekin also expressed that they will stand by all citizens regardless of their ethnic or religious identity.

FAMILY PROGRAMS WILL COME TO THE FORE IN THE NEW ACADEMIC TERM

Stating that one academic year has been completed and preparations for the new term are ongoing, Tekin thanked the provincial national education directors for their work.

Conveying that they attach importance to including families in the education process while preparing the Turkey Century Education Model, Tekin requested that priority be given to the “Family School” and “Parent School” programs in the new term.

Tekin also claimed that the work being carried out is being sabotaged by enemies of the country and the nation, arguing that the intensity of the criticism shows the importance of the work done in terms of national unity and solidarity.

The Provincial National Education Directors Meeting will continue for two days, covering preparations for the 2026-2027 academic year, general evaluations regarding educational activities, and school-family cooperation efforts.
