New era for school buses and public transport
Starting today, a new regulation has come into effect to enhance safety in school buses and public transport vehicles. It has become mandatory to install cameras, location tracking systems, and emergency buttons in these vehicles. The system will operate in integration with the 112 Emergency Call Center.

A new safety regulation has begun as of July 15 for school buses and urban public transport vehicles across Turkey. Under the decision, it has become mandatory to install camera systems, audio and video recording devices, emergency buttons, and location tracking systems in these vehicles.
The purpose of the application is to increase the safety of both students and passengers and to ensure rapid intervention in case of potential dangers.
Within the scope of the new system, all security equipment in the vehicles will be directly connected to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Thanks to the emergency button that drivers or passengers can use in an emergency, information will be instantly transmitted to security units. With the location data, teams will be quickly directed to the scene.
Camera systems will both provide a deterrent effect and keep records of incidents that may occur, which can be used in inspections and investigations.
TSE APPROVAL MANDATORY
All devices used in the system's infrastructure must be approved by the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE). The companies that will install the camera and tracking systems will also be TSE certified. Thus, both device quality and technical competence will be guaranteed.
To ensure the new regulation is implemented completely and accurately, relevant institutions will provide training to drivers and regularly inspect whether the systems have been installed.
