New regulation coming for school uniforms
Announcing new regulations regarding school uniforms ahead of the 2025-2026 academic year, Minister Tekin emphasized that the uniforms will be simple, economical, and practical, and that they will not impose additional financial burdens on parents.

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin met with deputy ministers, department heads, and provincial directors of national education from all 81 provinces at the “2025-2026 Academic Year Preparation and Evaluation Meeting” as part of preparations for the 2025-2026 academic year. The meeting addressed preparations for the new term in education as well as the issue of school uniforms.
NO ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL BURDEN ON PARENTS
Highlighting the changes made to the uniform policy, Minister Tekin stated, “We have made a regulation change regarding the attire of our students to prevent financial burdens on our parents. We do not want to impose any extra financial burden on our parents.”
NEW REGULATION ON UNIFORMS
Tekin shared the following information regarding the new uniform policy:
Uniforms will not feature restrictive details such as special markings, prints, or patterns.
The designated school uniform visual will be published on the school's website.
Uniforms cannot be changed before 4 academic years have passed.
It will be ensured that the uniform is economical, simple, practical, easily accessible, and in accordance with pedagogical principles.
Students with special health conditions will be able to wear appropriate clothing.
