Number of students who achieved a perfect score of 500 has been announced

The results of the LGS exam held in 2026 have been made available to candidates. A total of 1 million 22 thousand 658 candidates applied for the exam, which is decisive for the high school placements of eighth-grade students across Turkey. The participation rate was recorded at 97.23 percent; 994 thousand 358 students took the exam in examination halls.

The exam was held in two sessions simultaneously in various centers both domestically and abroad. While the exam was administered in a total of 4 thousand 244 schools across 81 provinces and 920 districts within Turkey, candidates also experienced the excitement of the exam in 11 centers designated in 8 different countries abroad.

In the LGS, where a total of 90 questions were asked, including 50 in the verbal section and 40 in the numerical section, the standout successful students for 2026 have been identified. 452 students who managed to achieve a perfect score of 500 answered all questions completely.

Following the announcement of the LGS central exam scores, the preference marathon for secondary education institutions is about to begin. Candidates will start making their preferences from Monday, July 13, and this process will continue until 17:00 on Monday, July 27. The placement results are planned to be announced on August 5.
